Mission & Purpose

The Climate Intelligence Network was founded to address two critical challenges in global climate action:

Climate Data Gap

Developing nations face a massive climate-data creation and governance gap, limiting effective policy-making, impactful climate action, and access to global climate finance.

Youth Power Gap

While youth worldwide are passionate about climate action, many in under-resourced communities lack the support and opportunities to mitigate and adapt to local climate challenges.

Mission and Purpose Image

Accurate, real-time data is vital for understanding the complex environmental changes happening around us and for informing robust policy decisions and solutions. By engaging citizens in science, storytelling, and solution building, we harness local knowledge, create a sense of ownership, and fill critical data gaps that traditional methods often overlook.

"This grassroots involvement not only democratizes climate information but also amplifies the voices of those most affected, ensuring that global solutions are informed by diverse, on-the-ground perspectives."

Principles & Values

Our core values guide everything we do, from building technology to engaging with local communities.

Data-Driven Action

We believe that accurate, accessible data is the foundation of effective climate policy and community resilience.

Citizen Empowerment

We empower individuals to take an active role in climate action through citizen science and grassroots reporting.

Climate Justice

We prioritize the voices and needs of communities in the Global South, who are often most affected by climate change.

Responsible Tech

We build and deploy open-source technology that prioritizes ethics, privacy, and community-led governance to ensure solutions benefit all.

Our Team

A team of engineers, lawyers, technologists, and activists driving climate intelligence from the ground up.

LCOY Sri Lanka 2025: Redefining What It Means to Be Heard

Sri Lanka had a peculiar way of treating ambition. It downgraded mine from ‘plans’ to dreams, from ‘conviction’ to motivation, and from the podium to a blurb in the brochure. I was allowed to exist, not in the conversation, but to fight against someone’s idea of what I could be.

Youth Lead the Way on Climate Action at LCOY Sri Lanka 2025

The Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Sri Lanka 2025 gathered approximately 150 youth delegates across the country from 30–31 August for a dialogue on skills-building and effective action on climate change.
